Coverage Terms and Refund Policy

CarRentalInsurance.com strives to offer flexibility and convenience at every step of your journey, including refunds for unused coverage. Here’s how our coverage terms and refund policy work:

Full Refund Before Rental Start Date:

When you purchase coverage, you’ll select a start date that aligns with your rental car reservation start date. If your plans change and you cancel before the scheduled start date, you’ll receive a full refund, no questions asked. If you request a refund after midnight in the time zone for the U.S. State you selected to rent the vehicle, the first day (24 hours) you have paid for is non-refundable.

Delayed Car Pickup:

We understand that delays happen. Suppose you purchase coverage but don’t acquire your rental vehicle until later. In that case, you’re still eligible for a refund if the cancellation occurs before the rental start date specified in your agreement with the car rental company. If you choose to keep the coverage you purchased, the first 24 hours of coverage will begin at the start time on the car rental agreement you sign at the rental counter.

Early Vehicle Return:

If you return your rental vehicle earlier than expected, you’re eligible for a refund for the unused coverage days that follow the return date. We will not refund for the date returned. Refunds for unused days will be processed, less a 3.5% merchant processing fee to cover transaction costs. Proof of early return must be submitted via email to support@mollie.rubyat.info, including a copy of the rental contract and refund receipt from the car rental company where the vehicle was rented. Vehicle Type and General Coverage Exclusions:

Our coverage is available only for economy and luxury car rentals, for pleasure, insurance replacement, or as an alternative to a personal car insurance policy. We do not cover exotic cars. We do not cover vehicles with nine or more passengers. We do not cover vehicles intended for commercial use, gig work, driving for Uber/Lyft, or similar. We do not cover Transit Vans, Sprinter Vans, or similar. The following vehicle makers/brands are also excluded from coverage: Lamborghini, Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, McLaren, Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti, Pagani, Lancia, Maserati, Pininfarina, Koenigsegg, Alfa Romeo, KTM, Ariel, Noble and Lotus. Coverage is also expressly excluded for all two and three-wheel vehicles, including motorcycles and Slingshots.

Claims Submission and Processing:

In the event of an accident or incident, a police accident or incident report must be provided during the claims process for a claim to be processed. If the rental car was damaged, we will most likely compensate the rental car company or their designated repair facility, less the deductible that you are responsible for.

In the event of third-party liability for personal injury or property damage, we will most likely compensate the injured parties or their attorney if directed, less your deductible which you will be solely responsible for.

In the event of a Personal Effects Insurance claim, we will likely compensate you directly. A police accident or incident report must be provided with all other supporting evidence for any claim to be processed and for any parties to be compensated. Police or law enforcement documentation in the jurisdiction of the accident or occurrence is mandatory.

In case of an accident or incident, please call or email CRA within 24 hours to notify them and begin the claims process. All claims are processed in the order they are received.
